Surrey Wedding Photography – Lythe Hill, Haslemere

Scroll down for a selection of the photos!

We love working at Lythe Hill in Haslemere (which is lucky really, as it’s one of our most frequently-visited venues!)  The staff are always so attentive and on the ball – it really does make the day stress-free for our couples and for us!

The grounds at Lythe Hill are beautiful – extensive, tranquil and they really lend themselves to a beautiful variety of photos, but with the locations in relatively close proximity to each other (which is a big plus for brides in beautiful, but less-than-comfy shoes!)

Jonathan and Helen added some really lovely, quirky touches to their wedding day – from the custom-made fabric bouquet and buttonholes (Jonathan’s comicbook-inspired buttonhole, complete with Darth Vader, was a particular favourite!) to the amazing travel themed confetti and Helen’s use of musical scores on her bouquet ribbons as a nod to her theatrical career.

Jonathan and Helen’s Lythe Hill wedding was blessed with glorious sunshine which was perfect for their outdoor lakeside ceremony.

After the celebratory confetti, Jonathan and Helen led their guests up to the champagne reception and garden games on the lawn.  During the reception, we stole the couple away for a few moments and strolled through the Lythe Hill grounds to get some natural, romantic photographs of Jonathan and Helen away from the rather large audience of guests!  This really helped them to feel less self-conscious and enabled them to relax much more, meaning more fun and better photographs!  They were soon back with their guests and we then reverted to candid, documentary photography of everyone catching up over a few drinks.

We captured some upbeat shots of all the guests together before the couple and their guests were called into Lythe Hill’s decadent Ivory Room for the wedding breakfast.

After a fabulous three course meal and wonderful speeches, the evening celebrations revealed some rather impressive dance moves!  It almost made us want to down tools and join in!!  Congratulations Jonathan and Helen, we had a really wonderful day with you.

Surrey Wedding Photography – Wotton House, Dorking

Scroll down for a selection of the photos!

Caroline & Tony’s wedding at Wotton House, Dorking was one of those days that’s just filled with laughter.  It was a privilege for us to be a part of such a happy day!

Caroline and her bridesmaids were getting ready at her parents’ stunning house in East Horsley.  There was a great atmosphere and it felt very relaxed, even though there was a slightly emotional moment when Caroline received a thoughtful surprise present from groom-to-be Tony (well done Tony – you got a few extra brownie points there!)

Soon we were off to the catholic church of St Edward the Confessor, in beautiful grounds just outside of Guildford, to capture the guests arriving as well as some informal shots of Tony and his groomsmen (all trying their best not to look too nervous!)

Once the guests were safely inside the church, Caroline and her father arrived in style – in an immaculate 1930s style Badsworth wedding car (complete with klaxon style air horn!).

In a lovely personal touch, the couple had arranged for Tony’s brother (himself an ordained minister) to conduct the majority of the service, so he brought a wonderful sense of family to the ceremony – populating the sermon with little anecdotes and stories from their childhood!

After a few photos outside the church, we were off to Wotton House for their sunny drinks reception.  The atmosphere was once again wonderfully relaxed, as Tony and Caroline’s guests were served Pimms and canapés in the sunken garden accompanied by live acoustic guitar music.

Tony and Caroline were keen to explore the grounds at Wotton House as the whole place offers a wealth of photo opportunities (and is consequently a fabulous place to work from our point of view!)

We captured intimate, informal couple photographs in the imposing Roman temple, complete with beautiful fountain and white marble columns, before heading up the adjoining steps to incorporate the stunning view of the estate that this height advantage gave us.

We then wandered towards the Tillingbourne stream which runs through the estate, finishing at the magical grotto (which is always our favourite for the atmospheric, natural light photographs which this location lends itself to).

After a fun-filled group photo of the couple with all their guests, it was into the Evelyn suite for the wedding breakfast.  The room was beautifully decorated in Caroline and Tony’s colour scheme of pastel peach, right down to the most realistic icing flowers on the cake that we have ever seen!

All in all, Tony and Caroline’s day was wonderfully relaxed but still extremely moving and it was obvious to see the mutual love and affection between these two lovely people.
